eTech Conference

On February 14th, I attended the eTech Ohio Educational Technology Conference in Columbus.  I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend several break-out sessions, browse the exhibit hall to see the latest and greatest technologies, and learn how other librarians are using technology in their schools.  I was inspired by one of the librarians at Wyoming City Schools and have decided to implement a few of her ideas that I learned at the “Tech Out Your Books” session.  This will include showing students how to create short movie trailers for their favorite books to be viewed on Destiny and by scanning a QR Tag that we will create for each trailer.  At the conference, I also received some great ideas, tips, and new links for my library website that I’m excited to share with everyone.  Be sure to check out the Home page of my website for more information!
