For the past couple of weeks, the students have been learning about poetry in celebration of National Poetry Month. Most Robert Frost students watched a fantastic 25-minute HBO video about various types of poetry narrated by children their age. The video also brought one of Robert Frost's poems to life through animation!
Students at both schools have been learning about different types of poetry including Haiku, limericks, acrostic poetry and cinquains. Over 50 students at each school submitted their own cinquains to me to be posted on the library walls. Of course, one of my favorites is below! :) These kids are so creative!!!
