Family Read Night Success!

Thank you to everyone that made Family Read Night 2011 a huge success and I invite everyone to check out the photos that I have uploaded to the FRN page!  The Reach-For-The-Stars read-a-thon, book fair, and Family Read Night combined helped raise over $800 in free books for the library!

I must say, I was totally impressed with the fantastic cakes donated to the event!  Really, I'm amazed at the talent of Pointview's teachers and parents!  I wish I could have taken them ALL home!  I'm also grateful to our fantastic readers:  State Representative, Anne Gonzales and Westerville Police Officer, Raymond Boock.  The children really enjoyed the stories read by both readers!  Finally, I'm thankful to all of the area businesses that donated fantastic prizes to the free raffle and silent auction.  It was great to see the smiling faces of all the winners!

I'm already pre-planning a similar event for the Spring.  So, start thinking about those great cake designs!!
